It’s a shame the Scottish team isn’t more likeable/watchable. Munsey and Watt in particular are absolutely grim.

(yes I know, me and my posts are unwatchable, unlikeable and absolutely grim).
I get quite a bit of enjoyment from takes like this about associate cricketers we rarely see much of. My partner's mum has quickly taken a strong dislike to Namibia's Trumpelmann.

He looks like the Aryan ideal and his name’s basically Spanglish for ‘Trump’s the Man’, what’s not to hate

I don't think it really mattered what he did when he was in charge of the Aussie women, they were so superior in both talent and funding that they could run themselves. That they had such a natural leader in Lanning too made it even easier.

But he did win the 2021 T20 World Cup, the problem was that that was clearly a very talented team come to the natural end of their time together. It needed to be broken up then, but it hasn't been. Quite why the likes of Wood, Jordan, Bairstow, Livingstone are still in this squad I have no idea. As for leadership, it ought to be better. It's not like Buttler and Moeen don't have an abundance of experience of playing at the top of the game with some of the most influential leaders (Morgan, Dhoni), yet they continue to make such basic errors on team selection that the rest of us have all highlighted way before they even happen.

Excellent point this. I really don't care that much if we get knocked out, I'll be far more invested in the Euros anyway. Concerning that someone like me should feel this way, are the less committed even watching? With WI and SL to follow, it's almost like an entire International Summer of Cricket will probably just pass on by.
On Sunday England play their opening Euro 2024 match, Meanwhile England could be out of the T20 World Cup and if they are due to the Euros it will just be a footnote

Qualification is looking dicey at best. The US is not a good venue (yet) for international cricket.
3 out of the 4 matches in Dallas were crackers, the issue has been more the drop ins for NYC. But the crowds have been large and lively with decent atmospheres.

The New York pitches have been excellent created tight close games.

Why do people just want bowlers to be turned into bowling machines. The pitches in the IPL of 250+ scores galore are more unfit for cricket IMO.

Why is everyone talking about USA pitches in this thread? This group hasn't played in USA. Think you need the Group A thread lol

So...after a summer of self-righteousness and hubris from the Poms, we hold their future in this tournament in our hands it seems.
And if what im hearing from Josh Hazlewood is correct there is some interest in ur camp of ****ing with the Scotland game........weak *****.
