Probably because his peak was in the 70’s where, respectfully, there were less super duper stars than when Jordan or LeBron played. Why is Kareem never in these comps?
I agree he probably slots into third, but the lack of him in the discussion is always a bit "disrespectful"Probably because his peak was in the 70’s where, respectfully, there were less super duper stars than when Jordan or LeBron played.
Still a solid 3rd for me.
Sight tangent - I hate the whole Mt. Rushmore thing. I’d rather just go with a top 5 like a normal person.I agree he probably slots into third, but the lack of him in the discussion is always a bit "disrespectful"
Either Magic or Duncan for me for fourth to complete the Mount Rushmore
Well that's my top 5.Sight tangent - I hate the whole Mt. Rushmore thing. I’d rather just go with a top 5 like a normal person.
I assume you mean Hakeem?Well that's my top 5.
Bird, Shaq, Russell, Wilt, Kobe / Kareem to finish up the top 10
Probably forgetting someone
Sorry, yes.I assume you mean Hakeem?
Bro!!! I say this all the time. How does Lebron just skip over Kareem like that. Why is Kareem never in these comps?
Even worse how Jordan fans completely threw Wilt out of the discussion after his death. The Goat debate would have been very very different if Wilt was still alive. Jordan would have never been hailed as sort of undisputed Goat pre- Lebron if Wilt never died.Bro!!! I say this all the time. How does Lebron just skip over Kareem like that.
Doesn't have the rings nor dominance, went hunting for super teams etc etc...Bro!!! I say this all the time. How does Lebron just skip over Kareem like that.
Rings matter?Even worse how Jordan fans completely threw Wilt out of the discussion after his death. The Goat debate would have been very very different if Wilt was still alive.
Wilt was definitely leading the argument pre- Jordan era and the discussion was more or less seen as between Wilt and Mike before Wilt died. Interesting how Jabbar actually leapfrogged ahead of Wilt after his death and Magic too by majority, some have even Bird ahead.Rings matter?
Plus the Wilt / Russell era may have been a tad too early?
Statistically though, yes he was the Bradman of the sport in his prime.
He's probably more a sheep. But leBitches equal or better in the same era, so might nudge top 10.Steph Curry is the goat
