Who should have recieved a knighthood?

Qlder

International Debutant
So Sir Donald Bradman is the only Australian to receive a knighthood for services to cricket. Well deserved but who else should have received one due the many given to West Indies and English cricketers?

It's worth noting that Bill Woodfull refused a knighthood in 1934, the only other Aussie cricketer to be offered.

I'd say Richie Benaud should have been top of the list

I think none of Muslim cricketers will accept it.
Well they would have to be from a country in the Commonwealth who has King Charles as their head of state, so yeah

As for Aussie Muslims, I dont think Khawaja is there just yet 😉

I'm thinking Ian Chappell would be close. Aussie captain averaging over 50 at #3 and leader in the WSC revolution that changed cricket forever, plus all his commentary work.

If his sparring partner Ian Botham can get one then Chappelli should be a Sir as well

Cricketer Of The Year
Maharajkumar of Vizianagram or "Vizzy". Awarded for cricket administration and politics, rather than playing achievements. But still the only one to be knighted while still an active Test cricketer - before his last Test.

Renounced knighthood in 1947 on India gaining independence.
That's really lolworthy ahead of guys like Nayudu and even monarchs like Maharaj of Patiala.....
