And Rohit is better than even AB in ICC events
In those 440 runs how many came in difficult situation. He came most of the times at 120-1. No wicket fall pressure, No run rate pressure due to Rohit. In 2023 WC, Rohit got off to flier most of the times. He agains never had run rate pressure. Neither he increased run rate. Scored with a strike rate of 82 when team total is 320+ vs SA. Scored with a strike rate of 102 when team score was 390+ vs NZ.Kohli scored around 440 runs in ICC WC 2019, at a 50+ average. Not poor by any standard. Plus you forget Kohli’s SF hundred, his 100 vs SA that held the innings together. Dhawan was overall not better than Kohli, cause of Kohli’s 2023 innings, and Kohli capitalised on tricky tracks like vs Aus, NZ, Sa. You underestimate him a lot. So overall Kohli has: a key knock in ICC 2011 final, vs Pak in 2015 league match, vs WI and Pak, Aus in WC 2019, vs Aus and NZ both games each, vs SA, hundred vs Bangladesh.
Of course Rohit is better than AB in ICC events. But Kohli is not definitely better. And Rohit is better than even AB in ICC events
Kohli. Knockout runs matter. Kohli has more. And I have given examples of Kohli’s clutch innings.Of course Rohit is better than AB in ICC events. But Kohli is not definitely better.
Rohit 122 vs SA 2019 WC,
104 vs Eng while chasing 330
87 vs Eng in 2023 WC difficult pitch
Yes but that was not Kohli’s fault. That was one of the reasons Kohli couldn’t score that much that WC, cause he was coming to bat 20 overs in.In those 440 runs how many came in difficult situation. He came most of the times at 120-1. No wicket fall pressure, No run rate pressure due to Rohit. In 2023 WC, Rohit got off to flier most of the times. He agains never had run rate pressure. Even in 2015 WC vs Pak, Dhawan was scoring at 95 strike rate but got out by run out. Raina scored 75 off 56. If not them we would not have reached 300. Kohli played with a strike rate of 84. If Dhoni plays such innings, he will be labelled stat padder selfish but not Kohli.
You can't statistically compare a anchor batsman to a clutch player.
Rohit and Dhawan were much better than him in terms of impact.
Now take AB, how many times he had this luxury ??
Kohli is atleast equivalent. We can agree to disagree, since I agree on your point that AB and Kohli are both in the same tierOf course Rohit is better than AB in ICC events. But Kohli is not definitely better.
Rohit 122 vs SA 2019 WC,

Anchor players can be clutch too. Look at Kohli. And Raina was brilliant, but he had freedom cause Kohli was holding the innings from one endIn those 440 runs how many came in difficult situation. He came most of the times at 120-1. No wicket fall pressure, No run rate pressure due to Rohit. In 2023 WC, Rohit got off to flier most of the times. He agains never had run rate pressure. I told the situation. He had run rate pressure.AB had good support in many of the above matches, Millers 48 of 18 was the key knock in NZ SF, in the WC 2011 chase vs Ind, Amla and Kallis contributed etc.
Sure, but it was not one handed, and Miller had the greater contribution.I told the situation. He had run rate pressure.
Eh?Kohli. Knockout runs matter. Kohli has more. And I have given examples of Kohli’s clutch innings.
He played a vital knock in 2011 Final, scored a century in 2023 SF and was India's best in the Final as well.Eh?
Kohli averages about 30 in WC knockouts, and his SR is poor too.
That's exactly your point. Stop being disingenuous and own your prejudices like a troll should goddamnit. My point is not to degrade Kohli.
2023 SF was obviously excellent. He played a vital knock in 2011 Final, scored a century in 2023 SF and was India's best in the Final as well.
Dude agreed 2011 final is not great by any stretch of imagination, but it was a crucial innings after the quick wickets, and he got out to a great return catch. He was brilliant in the 2013 Champions final tho2023 SF was obviously excellent.
2023 final is hard to assess. India's second best bat. Good innings when others were struggling. Arguably very good. But still slow, not a big score, and left them a lot of runs short (disclaimer of: with the benefit of hindsight).
2011 making your highlights package shows how poor he has been in most games.
Champions trophy shouldn't be lumped with world cup.Dude agreed 2011 final is not great by any stretch of imagination, but it was a crucial innings after the quick wickets, and he got out to a great return catch. He was brilliant in the 2013 Champions final tho
Better than SRT. And 5 failures??(2011 SF, 2015 ans 19 SF thats it I guess)?Champions trophy shouldn't be lumped with world cup.
Anyway, Kohli has 2 successes, one Pretty meh innings, and 5 serious failures in 8 innings. It's not the kind of record you would hope for.
I think he is counting the QFs as well. But I take offense on calling the 2011 Final meh. It wasn't Gilchrist in 2007 Final, but without that partnership, I doubt whether had won that WC.Better than SRT. And 5 failures??(2011 SF, 2015 ans 19 SF thats it I guess)?
and before you say SRT has less failures overall, I’ll just say he failed in both finals which is more significant than failing in SF/QFBetter than SRT. And 5 failures??(2011 SF, 2015 ans 19 SF thats it I guess)?
Don't blabber here. I won't blindly look at stats and decide on that. That's exactly your point. Stop being disingenuous and own your prejudices like a troll should goddamnit.
