They wouldn't want Allen keeping so Latham definitely in mix.
Neesham isn't contracted but I think he'd want him in the Windies for WT20.
Smith is signed up for a whole county seasons (all formats).
Seifert? Seeing as he's in Pakistan for the PSL now (no idea how he's performing)

I see we are sending a team to Pakistan for a 5-match T20 series in April. What are we looking at here with some players over at IPL?

Allen
Bowes
Young
Chapman
Neesham
Clarkson
M. Bracewell
Milne
Sodhi
Sears
Southee

Probably some of Henry, Latham, Smith (hopefully) as well in the mix.
Would love to see Tim Robinson go although might be a long shot.

Aren't those memories just the best. I remember watching a 1990 Benson and Hedges game on a similar sized TV in a beach town I can't remember where, but I remember it fondly. As I said before, we're a dumb species - you look back at that, when crowds were huge, it was an incredible experience to go to a game, and you just don't get that now. The days of ODIs on the Terraces at Eden Park are up there with my fondest life memories
The Terraces at Eden Park are what I miss more than anything. Ok it wasn't the most comfortable seating arrangement but basically
there was never a dull moment. Whether it be rugby or cricket I don't recall a bad day other than the fact we may have lost.
About half a dozen of us went to a game in the 92 world cup including my sister who had a whale of a time and she hardly saw a ball!
She was much more focused on a doll sized Ernie(Sesame St) being lifted up on a pole. The chant for the day was ''Ernie's a wanker'

It's also the place where I came to grow fond of beer and have since always related going to the cricket and having a few cold ones.
My experience travelling around India at last years world cup was a good one but not being able to have a beer all day was weird.

There's just so many good memories, none other than winning the rugby world cup in '87.
But yeah, sigh, it's just not the same these days.

In order to get there, he'll need to hit 9000 before India (which means hammering Afghanistan & going great guns in Sri Lanka) then go at a good clip vs India & England.

Kane's Road to 10,000 (1257 runs away):
  • AB de Villiers (22 away)
  • VVS Laxman (38)
  • David Warner (43)
  • Inzamam-ul-Haq (87)
  • Javed Miandad (89)
  • Virat Kohli (105*)
  • Graham Gooch (157)
  • Graeme Smith (522)
  • Hashim Amla (539)
  • Steve Smith (942*)
Everyone up to Gooch should be passed before India. Hell, a century against Afghanistan gets him near Kohli. Even 50 gets him past Warner. It won't be a walk in the park by any stretch.

Nice. A race to 10k between Kane and Kohli.

Yikes, worst season by a specialist bowler in NZ history. Guy should really play for ND next week. His only real way to retain his place at this point should be by going back to domestix and picking up a bag to show he's still better than the competition.
