*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Congratulations on your win India. England started promisingly but took a nosedive in that innings of that test where they were basically batting like headless chickens.

you'll have to be more specific
Basically,

39.5 Root out against the run of play! And this is a big wicket for India's morale, inside five overs of day three. Root falls prey to his own improvisation, trying to play a reverse scoop/reverse ramp over the slip cordon, but Jaiswal at second slip keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a very tricky catch. This was a full ball just outside off, and Root wanted to make full use of the acres of space at deep third. Wasn't to be and that's England three down! 224/3

3rd test, England's 1st innings

Even in that innings in the 3rd Test, it was only Duckett with 150, no one else even got a 40. So it was just a one man show

Kuldeep Yadav's Test Record is absolutely staggering, 53 test wickets at 21.05 ..

Have a look at that SR , 37 balls per wicket ..
He only needs 36 balls to qualify for the best strike rate list in Test cricket

His current strike rate would put him second on the all time list behind George Lohmann (Of those who have bowled a minimum 2000 balls), Lohmann last bowled nearly 130 years ago!

It's not that staggering when you factor in that every one of his performances was either in the subcontinent or a notorious turning track at Sydney. Good bowler, no doubt, but wouldn't anyone love that luxury. Similar goes for Axar Patel.

It's just the same boring stereotype used against every successful Asian spinner ..

Notoriously turning track at Sydney ?
India scored 600+ declared in that game.
India would have won had it not been for the rain delays, bowling Australia out for around 300 and asking them to follow on,
That was an incredible bowling performance from Kuldeep Yadav.

The pitches were very good for batting in this series , Jaiswal slammed 700 runs and he's a rookie opener .. every debutant bar Patidar cashed in.
England were extremely confident of their chances before Kuldeep turned up and outbowled every English bowler comprehensively.

When Matt Henry dishes out great performances in NZ no Kiwi fan points out that he averages 40 + away from home even in traditionally seamer friendly countries, instead they say he's world class so why move the goalposts for Kuldeep?
The subcontinent matters just like any part of the world

I'd pick Anderson over Hartley. He did alright in a very rough series for fast bowlers.

So will Lancashire given half a chance. Hartley has every chance of starting the season in Lancashire seconds because they signed Lyon. Prior to last season he was always behind Parkinson aswell.

This myth will never die. The same moronic posters (usually Kiwis for some weird reason) will keep waahhing about how the toss is so important and will ignore the evidence staring them in the face. Pretty sure 10 years from now, @Zinzan will still make posts on CW after waiting for 2 matches where the result goes in favour of the team winning the toss asking why results in India are so dependent on the toss. Can't expect any better from a weak coloned species of cricket fan though.
And good morning to you too

They’re just not up to consistently focusing over a long series, unfortunately. Sad.

Right, which shows they were incapable of focusing across an entire five test series series, doesn’t it?

Surely they will arrange a loan for him to another county, there are plenty to choose from and I'm assuming he is at least in the top 5 spinners in the country including overseas ones.
