Basically,

39.5 Root out against the run of play! And this is a big wicket for India's morale, inside five overs of day three. Root falls prey to his own improvisation, trying to play a reverse scoop/reverse ramp over the slip cordon, but Jaiswal at second slip keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a very tricky catch. Kuldeep Yadav's Test Record is absolutely staggering, 53 test wickets at 21.05 ..

Have a look at that SR , 37 balls per wicket ..
He only needs 36 balls to qualify for the best strike rate list in Test cricket


His current strike rate would put him second on the all time list behind George Lohmann (Of those who have bowled a minimum 2000 balls), Lohmann last bowled nearly 130 years ago!

It's not that staggering when you factor in that every one of his performances was either in the subcontinent or a notorious turning track at Sydney. Good bowler, no doubt, but wouldn't anyone love that luxury. Similar goes for Axar Patel.

That was an incredible bowling performance from Kuldeep Yadav.

The pitches were very good for batting in this series , Jaiswal slammed 700 runs and he's a rookie opener .. every debutant bar Patidar cashed in.
England were extremely confident of their chances before Kuldeep turned up and outbowled every English bowler comprehensively.

When Matt Henry dishes out great performances in NZ no Kiwi fan points out that he averages 40 + away from home even in traditionally seamer friendly countries, instead they say he's world class so why move the goalposts for Kuldeep?

So will Lancashire given half a chance. Hartley has every chance of starting the season in Lancashire seconds because they signed Lyon. Prior to last season he was always behind Parkinson aswell.

Surely they will arrange a loan for him to another county, there are plenty to choose from and I'm assuming he is at least in the top 5 spinners in the country including overseas ones.

Genuine question : On the basis of performances in this series, does a single England player make the combined XI? Crawley's the closest but I think even he'd miss out to Rohit.

He can probably bat 4 or maybe Root does, I dunno.
