I think Santner will be picked tbh. Santner's good recent batting + FC bowling has been going on for long enough to call it class, while Kuggs' recent figures are likely to be dismissed as form by Stead (for which, especially below test level, he does not care IMO).

Stead was on the radio yesterday saying that Santner's bowling had "gone to another level" so hopefully we can read something in to that

So nz are likely to go

3.Kane
4.Rachin
5.
6.Blundell/Phillips
7.Phillips/blundell
8.Santner
9.Henry
10. Southee
11. Lil Rourke

Is Mitchell fit for the first test? If so slot him in at 5.

What happened to Kyle Jamieson ? Or NZ reserve these players to bully side like IND and then rest them for 4 years .
He's going to miss the rest of 2024.

You aren't away to New Zealand until the end of 2026. What you thinking that far ahead for?

Was just making an observation. Whenever we tour NZ , one of their new players give us a thrashing. ( Wagner in 2014 , Jamieson in 2020 ) . They should save some of these newbies for Aus too 😄
