*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Of course it's a neutral venue. Anywhere which isn't the home venue for one of the teams is neutral ffs. Do you expect the hosts to dig up a Mumbai pitch and transplant it for it to be considered neutral if India is playing?
Of course it's not NZ played 4 quicks in Eng in the last final & still won, India played 2 spinners - by nature of their bowling attacks it should be pretty clear which venues support/favor which teams! In Asia spinners are generally the better or lead bowlers, outside they're support bowlers.
Just because you want to support this BS argument about Eng being neutral for us doesn't make it true. Same goes for the second final last year.

If the WTC final last year had been played on a classic modern Oval pitch - dry, slow, flat, it would have been much more even between the two sides and India would have had a much better chance.
We got the advantage of bowling first in very seam friendly conditions tbf. Wasted it and conceded 400 on day 1.

I don’t know why certain Indian posters believe that we will win WTC final if it is played in Asia . Have you forgotten WC final ?
You guys are clearly underestimating the choking ability of this team . They might find new ways of choking.
WC final was an ODI with dew factor.

Tbf India have won away to England more recently than Australia

But then again so have most sides
Tbh Aus might not have won but they haven't really had a BAD series. Ind had two stinkers in 2011 and 2014 (not including 2018 cause that like the 2013 Ashes was decently competed).

At home, England only cheat against Australia. In recent memory, I can't recall an England Ashes where they haven't had an outrageous cheating incident. I mean, it's fair because it's what England are, but Australia not losing a series there in yonkers, despite the cheating, is a real moral victory. None of this 4-1 capitulation style stuff that England like to throw up when touring.

But it's still neutral ffs. Both teams are playing away from home.

India are idiots for playing two spinners. You've got decent quicks coming out your wazoo these days. Changing the venue won't cure lack of intelligence.

For example, you might have posted one of your contributions on this topic from home, the other at work. The standard is lamentably consistent though. The venue changed nothing.

The venue changes everything you played 3 spinners in India, how many did you field in England in last year's WTC final? This is clearly a facetious argument!

It didn't change the fact you don't know what "neutral" means.

The other reason for playing it in London is that you're pretty much guaranteed a decent attendance no matter who is playing. Empty stadiums would not be a good look for the ICC's showpiece (even if half the teams cannot take it seriously).
It should always be played at Lord's imo. Game's oldest international format showcased at its traditional home.

And that should be the case even if England quali...... lololololololololololololol

Sorry.
