if Archer is considered a missing player then you may as well count Pujara and RahaneThis must be a series with the most players missing. Kohli, Pant, Brook, Leach, Shami, Archer .......

Kind of two of them are like each other (Pant and Archer both long term out), another two (Shami and Leach more regular cricketing injuries), and the other two (Kohli and Brook seemingly not injury related at all)two of those are not like the others
You wonder how much his health issues mean his body breaks down so much, never known a spinner get injured as often. He was never going to be a 37/38 year old test cricketer anyway but I sadly fear his departure will be sooner rather than later. As the top Leach apologist on the site, gotta say, his unluckiness with injury now is very much part of his body, and with Hartley, Ahmed and others vying for a place, and English Summer coming up, might see him gone really.
Might be Rehan, go for better bat and younger player. If Hartley keeps up his levels from his first two Tests he will probably be number one by summer anyway, given he can bat too.
Archer is never playing Test cricket againKind of two of them are like each other (Pant and Archer both long term out), another two (Shami and Leach more regular cricketing injuries), and the other two (Kohli and Brook seemingly not injury related at all)
I think they'll both be in the reckoning, think the next 3 tests are probably a shoot-out.Might be Rehan, go for better bat and younger player.
Yeah fear your right, but whatever we certainly need to plan without him, but then as ever all the fast replacements are injured too. Olly Stone is fit I think until next week.Archer is never playing Test cricket again
in terms of skill pant cancels out archerKind of two of them are like each other (Pant and Archer both long term out), another two (Shami and Leach more regular cricketing injuries), and the other two (Kohli and Brook seemingly not injury related at all)
Yeah but the fish bowl incident made jofras situation a ton worse didn't it?Its also not quite accurate coz Archer's fitness issues were always a concern but Pant's was an accident.
True. really sad accidents both.Yeah but the fish bowl incident made jofras situation a ton worse didn't it?
Nahkohli infinitely bigger loss than brook
yeah idk how you can say Kohli is infinitely bigger loss than Brook watching them bat since Brook’s debut
This is also false, purely because a fit Leach's bowling role is 5x what Shami's would be.shami bigger loss than leach
No . Shami averages low 20s in IND iirc. He is a beast on these wickets. This is also false, purely because a fit Leach's bowling role is 5x what Shami's would be.
Shami has taken 76 wickets in 21 tests @ home @22.11This is also false, purely because a fit Leach's bowling role is 5x what Shami's would be.
Brook would have scored a triple, and taken wicketsIf Brook played England probably lose the first Test? Pope would be sitting out no
Nah, we’d have left out Foakes. If Brook played England probably lose the first Test? Pope would be sitting out no
