The Records and Milestones thread

Molehill

Cricketer Of The Year
21 wkts
Green, Marsh and Head all took 6 wkts, Labuschagne 3
And since those 4 first played a Test together, who has taken the most wickets outside of them? Boland?

It really highlights how they've dominated Aussie bowling and perhaps throws out the question about what comes next?

Here’s a post I wrote on this topic last year. I don’t know why the numbers are often different for those in the tweet.

Probs just down to poor research. The inital article I read had incorrect numbers for the English trio - lucky I double checked before I posted here.

Nathan Lyon is set to surpass Courtney Walsh’s record for most matches without a test 50. If all goes well, he should surpass Walsh during India’s tour of Australia.
Funny how he will join fellow prolific Aussie spinner Warne as a historically non-achieving batsman (Warne with the most test runs without a cenury?). Both "could bat".

Rehan's over today that went 143026 is seemingly just the 7th time in Test History (6 ball overs) that the scorer's holy grail has been achieved. It has never been done with a 5.

Although, in ODI's both Shami and Behrendorff have done it with 5's but not 3's.
lol glad to hear that I was a part of history when I was willing Jaiswal on to go for the slog last ball

Lyon is already comfortably top for "most runs without a 50" (1455 to Roach's 1174).
Warne has most runs without a hundred, though Dickwella is catching up (2757 to Warne's 3154).
