I would as well. I would also assume Donald would have been rapid and Marshall in '83 till about '86 had surpassed Holding in speed.Slightly higher I would assume.
from 1976 to '81, I would say he would have regularly bowled in the low 90s.How fast was Holding on average? High 80's, low 90's?
A lot of "performance gains" in baseball outside the standard fitness regimen. Although probably the same in cricket in the 90s-00s.In baseball, hasn't it basically stalled about about the same speeds?
Im confident I seen a video which Tait hit the mid 90s in one over.A lot of "performance gains" in baseball outside the standard fitness regimen. Although probably the same in cricket in the 90s-00s.
I don't think many fast bowlers average 90+ all the time, at least in test cricket, so we're pretty much in fantasy land if we're talking about averaging 95.
One over, yes, over after over, spell after spell, match after match, noIm confident I seen a video which Tait hit the mid 90s in one over.
Tait may be one of the quickest ever.
When I hear averaging 95, I think consistently hitting the mid 90's to start a spell.A lot of "performance gains" in baseball outside the standard fitness regimen. Although probably the same in cricket in the 90s-00s.

Brett Lee was the closest. When I hear averaging 95, I think consistently hitting the mid 90's to start a spell.
Don't think anyone can consistently average that over any sustained period of time.
Pace, easily, but only if it didn't make him less durable. Generally, bowling express is a surefire way to **** up your body.Assuming you had a pacer around 6'0 bowling accurately at 80 to 85mph, and you had the option of giving him either 7-8 inches extra in height or 10mph in average extra in pace, what would you you choose to give to make him more effective, assuming same level of accuracy?
Wood's probably the quickest going at the moment and can average in the 90s for a spell but more like high-80s over a multi-spell innings. When I hear averaging 95, I think consistently hitting the mid 90's to start a spell.

He was the same height as Steyn.Pretty remarkable Marshall has the GOAT status while being the shortest of the ATG quicks
Baseball at about 5-6 mph faster. 100 mph bowlers do come around more reguarly, but Chapman was the highest reliably recorded one at 106.In baseball, hasn't it basically stalled about about the same speeds?
