Stumped!

Just been ticking it over. It's almost like Hunt having such an awful BQ helps in this situation, by ensuring no wickets fall. Now Smith and Butler come in later than intended. Big base though – 320 isn't out of the question.

The entire design of my team is not to plan for early wickets when bowling. Whenever I've looked for early wickets maybe 2 in 5 games you get wickets. Mostly not. My experience with ME. Particularly on dry wickets. So I try put as much pressure by stopping runs early. And then the back end try maximise wicket taking.

If I bat first I must generally get to at least 280 else the opponent just canters to a win. My home wicket really helps with this strategy.

I needed to keep ataraxia to under 300 because I have a long tail today. Early wickets likely to kill me.

So todays game against a bot about sums up TMOs screwing over by the ME. It makes no real difference to anything. I expected to drop back to 3rd div. But to have the only loss to the team that has gone Bot in the league that everyone (including TMOs previously) have beaten with bonus point in every other game is pretty sad. And there is no reason for this, I`ve done nothing to change the team, and the conditions are not exceptional. But the consistency of the ME screwing me over in the first and last games of the season is amazing. I have gone from first to 3rd in league or get relegated when I should not have been has been one of the consistencies for many seasons now. All I can hope is that the ME is kinder in the last game of the season for SOD.

What aggression were your batters on? That's a horrific loss.

Top six all on 5 aggression. I tend to let them just do their own thing while training. And I bowled first and chasing the huge total of 136..

This is why I do feel like the ME just gives random losses. I will beat all the top teams in a div and then lose to a team for no obvious reason that is ranked much lower. It's very frustrating because it can't be corrected. It's not like I make some terrible mistake or forget orders. It's just feels like I've won to many in a row or should not be doing as well so here have a random loss....

Lack of experience probably a big thing there. Still a mad result – I think much of the difference that accounts for Stumped results being more random than real-life results is that teams "give up" trying to defend a subpar total in reality, whereas in Stumped that's obviously not so.

There is many reasons you can point too... but nothing changes that the BOT teams are generally designed to lose. Its a dev game of course lack of experience is involved. But nothing changes the simple fact that my team of the entire league loses to the bot with a bonus point loss in the final game. Nobody else's did and you will notice that my team is not the lowest ratings wise and has steadily been improving.

The point here is for whatever totally unknown reason, the 'random' number die decided that my team would lose that last game... again!

Could it be that the ME prefers baboons to orangutans?

Probably... more likely a dog person. Or with its ability to **** with me... a cat person!
The top 3 getting out cheaply screwed you. The rest of the lineup don't have much defensive skill. Should be enough to beat a bot, but it just seems they folded under pressure. If they had tried to hit their way out of that situation it might have been better!
