That allrounder criteria is insane. I think a batsman just needs to be 50 averaging bat and sub 25 averaging bowler to qualify.Batsman: Minimum 10000 runs at over avg of 85; 70 in every country.
Bowler: Minimum 400 wickets at below avg of 15; 18 in evey country.
All-rounder: Minimum 7500 runs at over avg of 60; 50 in every country; and minimum 300 wickets at below avg of 20; 25 in every country.
(Or play something like Ajit Agarkar; but we all know that's even tougher, actually impossible heights too reach)
Nah, for me that's cutting the mark too close over Sobers and Imran; I probably will still keep Don atop. That allrounder criteria is insane. I think a batsman just needs to be 50 averaging bat and sub 25 averaging bowler to qualify.
Lol Imran and Sobers weren't that good in their secondary disciplines to be considered double worldclass.Nah, for me that's cutting the mark too close over Sobers and Imran; I probably will still keep Don atop.
Yeah, but the player you're talking about is worse in his primary skillLol Imran and Sobers weren't that good in their secondary disciplines to be considered double worldclass.
This is alrteady above Bradman.Batsman: Minimum 10000 runs at over avg of 85; 70 in every country.

All-rounder: Minimum 7500 runs at over avg of 60; 50 in every country; and minimum 300 wickets at below avg of 20; 25 in every country.

Yeah, I meant either one of those 3, would make a player above Bradman. This is alrteady above Bradman.
Imran and Sobers by their primary skills are already more than half way there to BradmanYeah, but the player you're talking about is worse in his primary skill
Quite. To say that say a combination of Joe Root+Jimmy Anderson or Steve Smith+Pat Cummins or Virat Kohli+Ashwin wouldn't be on a par with Bradman, if not his superior, is daft. That allrounder criteria is insane. I think a batsman just needs to be 50 averaging bat and sub 25 averaging bowler to qualify.
He is beyond comparison, this discussion is about mere mortals.Be like Jadeja
So why is there no 'no Sobers or imran' rule in the drafts?Average 75+, and 60+ in all conditions as a batsman.
And of course as players Imran and Sobers have already beaten Bradman.
Drafting is based on CW consensus rankings and CW consensus rankings underrate Imran and Sobers. So why is there no 'no Sobers or imran' rule in the drafts?
Migara isn't the Emperor of Drafts. His opinion isn't reflected there. So why is there no 'no Sobers or imran' rule in the drafts?
That would be a nice addition to the resume though.Migara isn't the Emperor of Drafts. His opinion isn't reflected there.
Drafts are based on personal opinions. Just like above. So why is there no 'no Sobers or imran' rule in the drafts?
On a serious note though, even a prime Kohli never quite matched the 1997-1998 Tendulkar, the compactness and the balance in shots. While cricket has always given opportunity for players with less standard athletic physiques, I think a 5'8, 20 stone batter would struggle even with their talents.
