Assuming your team is Zimbabwe, which would be the best bat/bowler combo of these four, and your next best?
To me, Viv/Marshall are ahead.Lara is further ahead of Viv/Ponting (who I rate similarly) than Marshall/McGrath are ahead of Ambrose.
Lillee is my least rated bowler here (by a margin), and though I have Chappell between Lara and Viv its nowhere near enough.
Well its no secret I don’t rate Viv as highly as others. I have Marshall and McGrath as my top 2 pacers, Curtly rounds out my top 5, and Lillee doesn’t crack the 10.To me, Viv/Marshall are ahead.
I went Ponting/McGrath over Lara/Ambrose since I think McGrath's bowling edge is more significant.
Lara/WalshAmbrose Lara pulled off the greatest 9th wicket partnership of all time to beat one of the GOAT test sides.. #neverforget
Would go along with this.To me, Viv/Marshall are ahead.

I'd have the Ponting/McGrath pair winning on fieldingAs pairs, Marshall/Viv arguably win on all of bowling, batting and fielding. The others all have relative weaknesses in at least one department.
To each their own, but.. Viv at 15 is a tad much. Didn't Viv and Chappell have the same average (or Viv slightly ahead) after the amount of games that Chappell played? And can't match the impact that IVA had, on the team, opposing bowlers or how the game was played.Well its no secret I don’t rate Viv as highly as others. I have Lara at 7 amongst batsmen, Chappell at 10 and Viv and Ponting 15/16, so that explains my vote.
Yeah, Viv and Ponting were both among some of the greatest out and close fielders of all time, but Ponting definitely better and an ATG at slip, so yeah. That gives Aus the edge, McGrath and Marshall equally good in the outfield.I'd have the Ponting/McGrath pair winning on fielding

I know you like grafters, and again, to each their own.
Wont have happened if there was no Lara/AmbroseLara/Walsh
Never forget
The defensive prowess exhibited by Walsh was more than enough had Ambrose fallen for a golden duckWont have happened if there was no Lara/Ambrose
Those leaves. The defensive prowess exhibited by Walsh was more than enough had Ambrose fallen for a golden duck
Leave it and then tuck the bat into the armpit. That move was asserting dominance. He won the crowd over with that. Those leaves.
And stopping that Yorker dead
Fair enough. Ponting. I reckon it's close enough to be arguable though- Mcgrath was nothing special as a fielder.I'd have the Ponting/McGrath pair winning on fielding
