The only worry now is if the height factor is important in getting this assistance from the wicket.
Think it is tbh. There was some sideways movement but most of the trouble was caused by uncomfortable bounce. Not seen much of prasidh, is he the same skiddy kind of bowler as the rest?

Prasidh and Bumrah should offer us some tall advantage until Thakur gets punished

After winning the toss and having a team 8 down on Day one for just over 200 you would think SA would feel happy with their work but the reality is that Jansen was poor and Coetzee wasn't at his best. Burger also dropped off after a fantastic first spell. Add in the two drops and they really should have bowled India out for under 150.

SA don't have a power packed batting line-up so I'd say this game is still very evenly poised. For India's sake I hope they don't get suckered into the wrong lengths on this pitch because that is where the SA batsmen thrive.

Is Nortje still injured or just over looked through lack of cricket in the lead up?

TBH while the old adage 'don't judge the pitch until both teams have batted' applies, and you'd expect batting to be easier on day two, looking at the match now I'd be fairly happy to be India. Those two drops were crucial in giving them some momentum and stopping a rout. SA's batting is flakey and unproven, and they may have lost Bavuma. They should back their bowlers to do well.

Also, I wonder when it will get through to Cricinfo that Petersen probably will be batting higher than 8?
