And we had done the same in WT20 2014 and even more favourites in CT 2017 F . Did you really underestimate the ability of this Team to choke?
Unfortunately yes. I really bad for Rohit here more than anyone. Took up a selfless role and performed it perfectly every time. Both him and Kohli were let down by babies like Gill and Iyer.

Actually Rohit is to be blamed even more . I felt Team gave up when Aus need 100 runs more .
Do you think Rohit as captain would have won us CT2013 F when England needed 30 runs in 4 overs with 6 wkts remaining.
Do you think Rohit as captain would have kept his calm and composure after the Misbah assault in 2007 WT20 F.

I meant batting wise. Captaincy wise, if you're comparing someone to MS, they're already fighting a losing battle

Well Rohit was made captain because he had won IPL 5 times . How can this guy give up so easily. SA showed more fight in their SF than us .
Captain can do only so much , he can't teach bowlers to bowl line and length , to not bowl both sides of the wicket , to not get greedy when the ball is swinging , he can't teach a keeper how to keep , can't control the dew factor ..

India lost the match with the bat , they were unbelievably poor after the first 10 overs.

After 10 overs they were 80/2 ..
Their next 20 overs they scored 72/2
The last 10 overs they only scored 45 runs

Iyer , Rahul , Yadav and Jadeja hit 3 boundaries in 160 balls at the crease.
SKY looked like he never knew anything about farming the strike at the back end.

Doesn't matter the situation of the game , you can't be that negative in 50 overs cricket.
I think there was a period of 90+ balls where no boundaries were hit which is a crime.

I also believe batting was the main culprit.
But our bowling attack converted 47/3 to 240/3 . You think , they were upto mark .
They just gave up collectively when Aus reached 150/3 .

I watched both 03 and 2023

The most painful was the 2003 world cup final loss, dream run, ganguly, dravid, Kumble, Srinath, agarkar without a winners medal.

Trust me, the way India gave away the runs and needed an astronomical 359 was too hard to watch

My eyes lit up when the scorecard read 47/3, maybe a bowling blunder was made or a tactical mistake, spinners were looking for lbws

They should have done better with the bowling resources they had

They needed another wicket before the 90 mark

Don't feel too bad for Rohit. Remember Rohit's still the guy who once said Wait till you come to India. That's the great thing about supporting a team like India; you can enjoy the wins but you can also always find karmic reasons to justify their defeats.

Has to be this one. They were the best team, home conditions, ICC under the thumb following their demands. Shouldn't have been able to lose it

It seemed like Rohit had no other plans to use jadeja and Yadav in the final. The only plan was to get the barsman out for lbw.

I feel maybe play 6 specialist batsman and swap jadeja for Ashwin

Oh, I won't be letting any Indian supporter on here forget about it any time soon.
In return you will be reminded of losing 4 consecutive Test series to IND , 3 of which you had a chance of winning.

Even the great Aussie side ( 95-07) could win maximum 2 consecutive Test series against IND one of which was stolen ( 07 ) and another was due to rain ( 04)

😂😊
Note : Not in a mood to fight today . Let it go .

not in a mood to fight, yet continually gets super defensive and brings up the same asinine points at every opportunity to be inflammatory. give it a rest bra, this is getting super old and tiresome

Put it this way, Australians have no bragging rights against IND after losing 4 consecutive Test series.
You should be happy about your WC victory and should enjoy . But if you will try to tease IND fans about your WC victory, be prepared to be reminded of the Test series results.
