***Official***Match #35 - New Zealand vs Pakistan - November 4th - Bengaluru

I mean, 9 wickets in hand with half the score done in 25 overs is always in favour of the batting side unless you want to introduce a variable measuring tendency to collapse?
Collapse was inevitable with Pakistan. They got lucky because of the rain. If this was a full game, no way they were winning this. This is the team that went from 155/2 to 191 all out not that long ago.

in my opinion it just favours the team chasing most the time or if it rains out fully and one team posts a massive score then doesn’t get a chance to bowl you still have to split the points. 25 overs left and still chasing around 8 an over is tough. But it is what it is I guess.

Against India. This is NZ. Opposite dynamics between the sides. They had proper batsmen until 7 and a useful tail today. At the point in the game when rain halted play, Pakistan were well ahead though you could expect anything afterwards.

What would have happened is of course speculative.
At the bell, Pakistan were ahead and I can't believe they pulled this off. I missed all of the game, but this smacks of classic Pakistan.
If Lanka bt NZ, and Pk beat Eng - Pak may go through?

And let's give Fakhar Zaman some credit also. That was the best knock of the tournament..This victory is only possible because of that knock.

Yeah, that's why Pak were ahead in the game. I meant DLS or any attempt to produce a result in rain-affected matches should obviously measure what happened until the interruption and go off of that and not what could or should happen. Otherwise, just take the win predictor reading before the match and just give it to the team that should win.

Yeah that was an incredible knock from him, won them the game, hard to believe that Pakistan picked Imam ul Haq ahead of him until the last 2 games.

If Imam ul Haq played instead of Fakhar we would have won that game easily.

People like cribbing about DLS, but the numbers they pull from their ass are generally far worse. It's a fine system and the correct result was produced today as far as the actual cricket that happened is concerned.

Why does everyone hate iman, lol. Averages 48 @82 in ODI's, he's a fine batsmen and plenty of teams would love to have him. Pakistan just have other top order options.

I just can’t believe this. World Cup has gone from bad to worse. Maybe we were right to bowl first every time. No way can this bowling attack defend anything.
Really appreciate how important Henry has become to this side. Presumably Jamieson will play the next game. Someone above mentioned Sodhi didn't have a great record against Pakistan so would have been interesting to hear the selection discussion.
