Having to maintain 9 rpo over 20 is (very marginally) easier than maintaining 8 rpo over 30 imo. Perfectly fair adjustment imo.

Good point. Hadn't considered that. I was thinking of a straight linear reduction in runs and overs

Because Pakistan gets to make full use of their batting resources (all 10 wickets in fewer overs) so runs go down at a lower rate than NZ's 50 over run rate of 8.02.

9 overs were reduced, IMO runs should have dropped at 7 runs per over, so about 63 runs maybe instead of 60 runs. But its fair enough.

You also got to factor in that Pakistan were on a role and had their momentum stopped by the rain.
NZ were 317/3 at the end of 41st over .So it's fair
