That's the thing though - Daryl Mitchell, Will Young and Henry Nicholls took some time to get rolling at the FC level and never got that early exposure to high quality spin.

It has been a focus of the entire system through A tours and coaching to get some basic skills against spin to be common enough in domestic cricket.

2007 was a very weird team. Could be genius, could be ****ing ****house. It changed with the wind.
In 2007 we legitimately were the meme of punching above our weight. Only Bond and Vettori were truly world class players in that era. Styris was class and in great form, but a rung below
