Moooo
Let’s go!
This is an appalling post!! I mean the gist of it is not without merit but that list of names is just terrible.......Boycott, Tavare ffs????Not even close. There are so many turgid English batsman that don't even have a particularly high level of competence. Like sure, you may snooze your way through a Kallis century, but that century will probably make the game more interesting.
Atherton? Gooch? Strauss? Hussain? Vaughan? Lamb? Gatting? Collingwood?
You'd get more pleasure from reading the phone book.
And I don't want to hear any of this "but Vaughan was an attractive stroke maker". He only averaged about 5 per innings. Which if we're kind and give him the replays too, is probably about a minute worth of satisfaction per innings.
I thought it was from a video game.Boycott will affect the actual game result tbf. Which was my reason for saying Kallis is less boring. I don't know who Tavare is. Some kind of sauce?
Its these technique perverts. They're sickosHow was Kallis even boring? Elite batters playing shots immaculately is the peak of batting, and exciting. Batters playing shots in a sloppy or ungainly manner is bad to watch and closer to boring if you have to watch them doing it over and over. Kallis tended to play a lot of very good cricket shots. That's good batting baby.
This but unironically. Its these technique perverts. They're sickos

Phlegms right, Kallis was the Thanos of cricketKallis highlight reels are aesthetic af
Live he was kind of inevitable rather than boring or thrilling. Just an imposing beast at the crease.
I think we'd need to find a good player who wasn't particularly interesting to win the thread. Bad players tend to be fun because of their struggles, either through the suspense of the inevitable wicket or on their one or two golden days which is also fun.
Honestly it's probably a finger spinner who bowled flat darts.
Have you not learnt nothing on CW... he was not actually that good and he did not hold SA batting together for nigh on a decade... and all those wickets he took was pure luck!I'd love to be bored from constant Kallis centuries again
