Aus to have a good march up the table this week. Started week at 10th, 8th after beating SL, will jump to 6th on NRR after NZ and IND take care of AFG and BAN.

Then Aus play Pak on Friday for 4th spot 😀

Can't assume anything especially with Afghanistan playing in Chennai.. and with Bangladesh always running India close in important games.

Lesson learnt- there are no guaranteed wins this world cup, especially now that the minnows know they can definitely beat top sides. Their confidence will be sky high, they will feel they all can win at least a few more games each. They will play fearlessly as they have nothing to lose. I am expecting more upsets this world cup because the doors are wide open now for the smaller nations to go for it!

And everytime choosing to bowl first after winning the toss- has been debunked by these back to back upsets.

Get good runs on the board in the first dig and put the heat on in the 2nd innings and you will find some batting lineups will just crumble!

A reminder that it is possible to improve your NRR in defeat.

The games on Friday and Saturday now look massive. Losers of those in big trouble.

Good point about NRR, I wrongly assumed

It's possible after Saturday that SA, PAK, AUS and ENG are all on 4 points fighting for 3rd and 4th by NRR.....also possible Aus and Eng are still on 2 points but we won't go there 😉
