In the Asia cup which was played before the WC, he got 10 wickets @ 17, most of his wickets were huge players ie. Rohit Sharma , Shubman Gill , Virat Kohli , KL Rahul , Liton Das , Babar Azam ..

He's only 20 years old,in a team that is some time away from emulating Sri Lankan sides of the past, he will only get better with time , he's definitely got potential.

Well from what I know about Sri Lanka it does aid bowlers who like to skid the ball on..

Wellalage seems to bowl the same pace every delivery. He needs to watch a guy like Mitchell Santner who varies his pace and flight .Obviously that will come with experience I guess.
