Not Terrible
Sage from Ian Smith. ‘If Buttler or Root get out, they won’t get any more runs. But if New Zealand get zero more wickets, that won’t be bad, so they should try to get more wickets’. Said it in a slightly dramatic-yet-knowing voice though.
Yet still a more intriguing analysis than Tendulkar’s pads

Much of the skill of ODI middle-overs commentary is in saying nothing convincingly

England will either go 350 plus or all out 195
Just need to bat sensibly for another 10, then go hard in the final 10. It's not like they're not scoring nicely as it is. Given England have better spin options, anything over 300 should be a tough chase unless it changes under the lights.

Get Henry back and give him licence with a slip or two. Too easy for Buttler otherwise.

Didn't feel too worried even at 4 down. Had Buttler and Livingstone to come on a flat pitch against a shallow attack and with Root batting well in conditions and an opposition attack that suit him. Would be worried if we lose Buttler in the next few overs.
