They've had speed guns on the live streams for some County Championship games this season. They are typically at least 5mph down on the speeds that the same bowlers supposedly reach in Tests and other televised matches.
Not trying as hard or, for the conspiracy nuts, perhaps the clubs are turning down the speeds to discourage interest from selectors in their best bowlers.
