My predictions for Sunday are:

Rahm vs Scheffler
Hovland vs Morikawa
Rose vs Cantlay
McIlroy
vs Burns
Fitzpatrick vs Homa
Hatton vs Harman
Aberg vs Koepka
Straka
vs Thomas
Hojgaard vs Schauffele
Lowry
vs Spieth
Fleetwood vs Fowler
MacIntyre vs Clark

Of course it could be worse but that’s probably the best we can do…

Congratulations folks! We did a little better today than I thought but the result was never in doubt…

Why is home advantage so important in the Ryder Cup?
The Home Captains can set a course up how they want it. US Golf is essentially hit it as far as you can off the tee and then hit wedges out of a very thin rough. Because of that, the US players don't hit as many shots in the 180 yard area and they don't play out of thick rough very often either. Donald set the course up where finding fairways was important and many approach shots were significantly more than wedges. You can be sure that in NY in 2 years we'll be back to bombing it off the tee (although I think Europe are starting to put together a squad to compete in that too).

Seemed like there were serious factions in the US Squad, as there always is when they come to Europe, and some pretty pathetic excuses too. No idea what La Cava was up to on the 18th on Saturday, he should know better.

The result was never in doubt from about the opening 6 holes on Friday. Fowler conceding a 3 foot putt to Fleetwood for the Ryder Cup (presumably because he didn't fancy trying to hole his own 5 footer first) kind of summed it up.

7 of the last 9 Ryder Cups have been won by the home team in a largely straightforward manner. Only Medinah and Langer's masterclass in 2004 have gone against the grain. Not sure what they can do to change it, but the US really should be more competitive than they are in Europe.

Anyone watching Lexi Thompson/ Thought it might be a bit embarrassing remembering the Michelle Wie farce, but she's got a chance to make the cut.

Hopefully this will finally silence those 2 handicappers who reckon they can beat female Pro’s. Wouldn’t get within 6.

So odd if she can do it, as she's 82 in the lpga rankings, very long though, mind you 11 ahead of her in that stat.

Threatening to turn into a standard Lexi performance. Strong off the tee, weak around the greens and a choke from a great position!

Needs to birdie the last to have any hope. She’s been poor on par 3’s.

Depends on the pro to be honest. But mid-range to top pros, you're right.

And consistency could be an issue for the 2 handicapper too over the course of 4 rounds.
