It's raining again.

But there was a patch on the pitch where water got to and that wasn't going to get dry any time soon.
You say any time soon, but they only needed to have Ireland bat for 20 overs, they had over 3 hours to get the pitch ready and it's due to be dry for the rest of the day after 4pm. It must be like a quagmire under there.

Should be an investigation into this. Groundstaff took too long to get the covers on. Pitch was saturated already.
I don't reckon Bristol will be getting any England games again any time soon. And Headingley hardly covered itself in glory either. If you can't withstand 20 mins of rain, you shouldn't be hosting England games.
