So you defend the visa delay then?
Defend visa delay ? They got in 6 days . That is not delay . Even Afghanistan team got yesterday. And they weren’t crying online .PAK should have applied earlier if they wanted visa before and don’t make up their source and 24 hours deadline.

Shoe on the other foot, you would complain and look at it differently. But let's leave it there.

And give the hosting to Aus who can’t be bothered to turn up in their own WC like WT20 2022 . Aus shouldn’t be allowed to host any ICC tournaments after the pathetic crowds we had in last year WT20
There’s a lot more to do in Aus than there is in India tbf.

Who defines international stars ? Many Indian cricketers have faced visa delays while touring AUS/ENG because of their addition to touring squad last minute.
VISA is not issued by Cricket board . It is issued by Embassy which takes input from their respective Country . And this process takes atleast 1 week . Stop looking for conspiracy theory everywhere .
Best one was harbhajan having his shoes impounded on arrival in NZ for flagrantly disregarding their bio security laws. Pretty ignorant on his part

I won’t disagree here. However crowds in some of the Australian games was disgrace . Stadium wasn’t even half-filled in Aus vs AFG game iirc .

HB taking the right approach here. Acknowledging that once I’ve confirmed this is all nothing, sun needs to move on

Whatever it takes!!!

Come on, that is not a disgrace. It's just that there are other sports that are more popular in Aus.

Yeah. Tbh mate casual fans won’t front up for a game against sides like Afghanistan at this stage of their development. Not saying it’s right, but they just won’t draw a crowd. Used to be like that with SL too.
I can’t recall what the ticket prices were or if they were the same for all the group games, but a lot of people won’t shell out big bucks for a game involving less established or credentialed teams here. It’s always been thus

Nah . Had they organised the tournament in Feb-March , we would have got good crowd . This was just greed .
I am not sure greed is the word I would use but both Eng and Aus have prioritized their home season over ICC events when hosting and that is definitely not ideal.

I read somewhere that Aussie footy season is more famous in OCT . Aussie people follow cricket from DEC- MARCH . Am I Correct?

Nah if they held it in March they’d have had smaller crowds and had to play it on lesser grounds because the footy season starts then, and once that happens cricket or anything else is just an after thought

Yeah basically. Both NRL and AFL grand finals are this coming weekend. Nothing else matters here from a sporting pov at this time of year. And the seasons both start in March. Plus all the major cricket grounds have long term lease commitments to the AFL.

Edit: I spend too much time on here - my phone autocorrected March to MMarsh.
