Haha are you kidding? In the invicibles year Arsenal absolutely smashed Leeds on both occasions. In the game at Highbury Henry absolutely tore them to pieces.
I must be misremembering that for some other year Arsenal won the league.

Pretty much peak Henry for mine. The fourth goal, in particular. Bloke just powers past all of them like they weren't there. Granted this was a Leeds defence consisting of Dominic Matteo and Stephen Caldwell, but still. Explosive.

Yeah tbf I think Leeds had a run of winning at Highbury for 2-3 seasons prior to the invincibles year (i.e. when Leeds were actually good).

The game the year before (2002/2003) was particularly grim. Great goal by Harry Kewell though.

Every time I've watched Arsenal in 2023 he's been their best player by miles.

How exactly have Norway managed to remain so ****e despite having arguably the world's best number 10 and a god-tier number 9? A 24-team Euros with no Haaland or Odegaard would be surreal.
If he can put together another season like last season he'll be right amongst the top names. There's a couple Arsenal players on the cusp of making that step to world class who just need to show it now in UCL.

Not many were better than this version of Henry. What a player

What happened at Real Madrid?

From memory, he was regarded as the next wunderkind but they hardly played him and he’s looked WC from almost the start at Arsenal

Should do a make a wish appeal tbh. He'd show up in like 5 minutes.

On a serious note though, Cena WAG. There are so many videos out there of him showing up at a sick kids' house, on his day off, having done the 4 hour drive there himself, no camera crew etc. Only filmed on someone's phone because he didn't tell anyone apart from the family that he was coming. Kid absolutely elated. There should be more John Cenas.
He did the same thing in Australia recently

He struggled with the pressure and never really got a look in. When they let him go there was no real pathway to a starting spot with how Isco and Asensio were developing. Its questionable as to whether he'd get in the Madrid midfield now, personally I don't think so.

He was magnificent on loan at Real Sociedad. I remember a game he played early that season against Atleti where he tore them to shreds. That was a special team with Oyarzabal and Isak too.

It's great to see he's getting close to his potential now. Captaincy has really helped him too, going to be a stalwart for Arsenal over the next decade.

He's been pictured walking without crutches recently! Fingers crossed he gets back ahead of schedule
You don't actually need crutches for a particularly long time after ACL surgery. I was running within 4 months of my knee op; twisting and turning and being 'football fit' is another thing entirely.

nothing really he just didnt get opportunities and everyone thought he was another overrated kid for some reason

even guys who were better than him at that time like Kovacic couldnt break into the main team for a reason that Real midfield is just built different

Didn’t he have serious knee problems too? I remember when Arsenal signed him it was seen as a kind of reclamation project to see if his body could hold up.

Their rebuild of that midfield has been one of the greatest of all time.

Replacing Casemiro, Kroos, Modric and Isco looked an impossible task... but somehow Tchouameni, Camavinga, Bellingham and Valverde is actually an upgrade. That midfield is the only reason they're in contention for big honours this season despite losing Courtois and Militao.

Once they get Mbappe next summer and those injured guys return, they'll be a juggernaut again.

Stuart Dallas back in team training. 18 months from the leg break against Citeh. Still some ways to go before he plays again. Very sorely missed utility man
