Did you know he's just been made the President at the golf club from the village of your youth? Has been a member there for years, but with Dickie Davies departing this mortal coil, he's taken over the role. Lovely fella, very easy to chat to.
Haha I did not know. Expedient news though. He was my hero growing up, Euro 96 etc

Under the Glazers selling players has been worse than buying them. They hold on to them and then they have little value when they do try to move them. Worse is that they don’t believe the marketplace when they do. They tend to hold out for internal valuations that don’t reflect any actual interest.

McTominay and Maguire are still around although they don’t fit what ETH wants. VDB was bought without a plan and is still around. Martial has only survived this long by being a favorite of one of the Glazers. I don’t know what the plans for Pellistri and Amad are but I’m not sure ETH wants them so that looks like more money thrown away.

Allegedly ETH doesn’t trust the scouts and so keeps wanting players he had or saw in Holland. I wouldn’t trust Fletch or Arnold either but that means there’s still a mess there.

I don’t think it’s just about only having top 4 ambition. It’s about going about it in an inefficient way that no other club would attempt.
The Glazers have spent a boatload on players over the years

They just seem to hire incompetent people to run the joint

I believe he lives in the village of Sherborne St John. His nextdoor neighbour is a long standing member at the club (and a complete tosser to be honest).

Does anyone remember David Seaman’s guest appearance on Brookside?
I was going to use this to have a crack at you being from Liverpool, but then realised this probably meant he got to meet Claire Sweeney, so actually fair dos.

Oh is TNT not doing the goals show for champions League like BTSport, I enjoyed that.:(

thanks don't seem to have that one.

Edit red button is my friend.
The other option, which I ended up doing, is signing up to Discovery Plus where you can also find it. If you have a BT/TNT login then you have free access to it.

The Champions League Goals Show was literally the best thing about BT Sport, to have now hidden it behind the red button or put it onto stream only is desperate stuff.
