I think Moeen and Curran are both batting a place too high in that line-up. And I don't think Curran's a definite starter given how he and the other seamers went against NZ. Maybe Moeen behind Livingstone at 7 followed by Rashid and 3 seamers.
It definitely does help but you gotta remember we still dont have a #4, not sure of our #5 and our allrounders have hardly batted well and we will have 3 #11s. Plus our top order seems to never perform in key games.
Pretty much this, but I'm sure we'll see quite a lot of seamer rotation. I also wonder if we might end up with 4 seamers with one replacing Moeen. I think Topley will play quite a few games.

Not heard that interview, but sounds like a sensible analysis and I think that's a fair take on Buttler. I don't think he has the same motivational fire as captain that Morgan before him did (or e.g. Stokes has), but he does strike me as someone who thinks a lot about the game and works hard on the preparation side of things.
I heard Jeremy Coney working his way through the NZ fixture list and basically talking about what kind of match and bowling line up you'd likely see. He reckoned that NZ were largely playing teams in the wrong place for them. England on a flatbed in Ahmedabad whilst getting the Asian sides on spin friendly pitches for example.

How are Pak favourites over Ind? Batting, both potential wise and form wise, Ind’s batting is leagues ahead. Bowling wise as well, Ind is clearly better. I’ll go on to say that Ind’s pacers are better as well(Bumrah who’s clearly better than all three of Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf, and Siraj deserves to be ranked equally if not better, for dominating the ODI bowling scene for the past year). Spin wise, it’s not even a comparison.
When has Pak’s top order performed in key games? Plus Kl has been dominating it at number 4 since 2020. Shreyas has really good stats there as well, and is the probable person to make it at 5.There’s a good backup in Kishan, who‘s down quite well recently in ODIs. Hardik doesnt seem to be out of form batting wise, but he has taken his bowling up a notch. Jadeja seems to be bowling well as well. We may lack batting depth, but clearly we have the strongest top 4 to compensate for it, and the best bowling attack overall. One of Pak’s openers is horrifically out of form. Babar hasn’t proved himself on tough, slow tracks at all. As the game against Ind showed, Shaheen can be a bit of hit and miss. Same goes for Rauf. And their middle order is very brittle, unless you rate Rizwan and Ifthikar>KL Rahul And Shreyas Iyer. Plus their spinners are woefully out of form.
and Brook is to be rested. Roy has the choice to play or not. They certainly don't want Brook and Roy playing in the same team.

With the weather forecast I doubt he'll get much time in the middle, and it'll be seamers paradises if he does, can see him failing some more, but we'll see.
This overrating of Pakistan is surely satirical. Pakistan have a weak batting line up, no spinner, ok pacers but no 2nd string attack of note, and are mentally fragile.
