Greg Chappell. Batted higher with robust consistency and set more games up with a far superior century-innings rate. Don't think Border having a good tour of India against a tame attack outweighs those things in Greg's favour.

Chappell clearly more talented, Border definitely the grittier, more durable cricketer, love both players but Border is one of my all time favorite batsmen so…

Everyone that he skipped. Can’t skip a weak looking attack and then say “I’d have done well against them anyway”
Typical Aussie cowardness.
Can’t think of any myself and neither can you from your response. Given his record I’m not sure Chappell has to justify himself to a cricketing incel like you. I suspect the tours he missed just weren’t challenging enough for him.

Chappell cleaned up in wsc vs the WI and in the WI at that. Not test cricket but that's good enough for me on top of everything else he accomplished.
WSC was the hardest cricket ever played and his record in that series alone justifies his greatness as a player.
