Well I mean you’re excusing Border’s hundred rate on account of his bat, Chappell batted with the same or worse equipment, scored tons way more often, and 50+ scores almost at the same rate.
Yeah, fair enough in the context of this thread.

But in the comparison with shiv...and all modern players, the bat needs to be considered. The same argument applies to all older era players compared to post 2000s. Has anyone ever tried to quantify the bat adjustment factor? We've all seen that bat video from bradmans shaved toothpick to Warner's tree stump.
