Who you playing instead?

His IPL experience is clearly what they are counting on. Clearly don't trust Ahmed yet, Dawson isn't better than Mo.

Your going to have Livingstone at 6 plus Root, so we've got 4 spinners and then 3 of Curran/Wood/Woakes/Willey/Topley/Atkinson to complete the XI

Also what's this doing on the Hundred thread, as much as i'd rather talk about anything but the Hundred.
Think I would still take Livingstone. Has a raw upside.

I'd be surprised if this this isn't the main team for the world cup.

Brook just unlucky cos Benjamin has come back, otherwise he's nailed in as your number 4. Shame he's not a handy spinner like Livingstone.

Bairstow
Roy
Root
Stokes
Buttler
Livingstone
Ali
Curran
Woakes
Wood
Rashid

One change this year has been the release back of players not needed to their counties. Has this worked? It hasn't exactly happened very often, given that each county has now played 8 games. Mainly just one or two games.

Madsen no appearances for a franchise, 2 for his county.
De Leede 0 for franchise and 1 for county
Pepper 2 and 2
Douthwaite 0 and 1
Hammond 0 and 2
Crane 0 and 3
Weatherley 3 and 1
Wheal 0 and 2
Lawes 0 and 1
Davies 0 and 2
Briggs 0 and 2
Brookes 0 and 4
plus late replacements 'required':
Clark never played for franchise, 4 for county before contracted by a franchise
Ackermann played twice (6 prior for county)
Harrison played once (6 prior for county)

Would be interesting to see at the end of the competition how many players were drafted but never played.

Moeen is largely picked because his ODI bowling economy is good. He isn't a wicket taking factor. However, my concern is that alongside his fitful batting performances he is in decline as a bowler and does not seem to get through his action as he did say 3 years ago or so.

His batting has come back recently, tbf. He's been good in t20I with the bat for the last few years and has been making runs batting 6/7 in ODI recently.

Batting less suited to coming in so low and he turns it the same way as Rashid. Think it's more a case of him being a worse fit than actually being worse, they're similar quality IMO.
Prince EWS I don't know what a Gobal Moderator is but if you are a moderator / admin of the forum could you take all the England ODI stuff out this thread, please

I'd trust him to bowl 10 overs a whole lot more than Mo. Probably worse as a batsman though. Woakes at 7 is pretty good.

That's an aftermarket sticker. He's only a local moderator.

To think Ali TT was complaining this thread had criticisms about the thread subject. Has the topic been diverted as the ECB is right those interested in this branded form of the game have such a low attention span. Of all the threads to be hijacked probably best to be this one.

Zaman Khan is dynamite. The total was far too low for the bowlers to do anything but he made it closer than it should've been. Clutch.

Issy Wong's form has fallen off a cliff, maybe just trying to bowl too fast.

Oh and it's going well for Will Smeed since going all in on white-ball....

Ollie Robinson never played and the Leeds popchips finished bottom what a shame.

Madsen played in the Originals last group game.
