What's your pace top 10?
1) Marshall
2) McGrath
3) Hadlee

7) Imran
8) Akram
9) Trueman
10) Lindwall

Always preferred Ambrose to Steyn because of his record against the best team of his era and Steyn's hit and miss element but feel increasingly unsure now. Ambrose is some way better in Australia and England but Steyn is more proven in Australia/England than Ambrose is in Asia.

Who's 6th?

If you think Ambrose is unproven in Asia then Lillee is even more unproven.
Exactly. Asia is Lillee's major problem. Ambrose isn't any more proven on classically unhelpful Asian decks as it's very likely the pitches for the 1990 series were a lot kinder than the ones Lillee got which were brutal.

Top 3 exactly the same, I also find it impossible to separate Steyn and Ambrose so tied for 4th.

6 - 8 for me is Imran, Donald, Garner in no particular order.
So Garner for me over Wasim.

Really love Donald. Read the other day he averaged 23 in high-scoring games. He was unreal. Feel guilty leaving him out.

I group it this way and the orders can change in each tier.

Tier 1 - best overall records
Marshall
McGrath
Hadlee

Tier 2 - Well-rounded records
Imran
Steyn
Ambrose

Tier 3 - Seen as best of their times but lacking in overall record
Lillee
Trueman
Wasim

Then Donald rounds off the 10 top as the fast bowler with over 300 wickets with a top tier record, just not the rep as the others. Cummins will take his place by his career end likely.
