Should Pakistan's lack of a middle-over spin wicket taker be an issue given this WC is in india? I know they haven't played a game in india since the wc, but there spinners are averaging ~42 in the middle overs. Pacers probably make up for that, but I don't know if a "pacers are the only group consistently applying wicket pressure in the middle" is a great idea against the better teams on Indian decks.

I wrote this in other thread.

Shadab's bowling is an asset in T20s where batsmen go after him, but his bowling is not effective in ODIs. In last 4 years, he avgs 44 with SR of 48 in ODIs whereas fingerspinner SLA Nawaz avgs 26 with SR of 34 in same period.

Shadab & Usama Mir have similar avgs in ODIs. Considering WC is in India where fingerspinners are generally successful, we should drop one of them, preferably Mir, for Nawaz.

Agree with what your saying. Isn't the issue with wrist spin in india more a thing for leggies who are a bit slower through the air like adil rashid/parkinson?

Afghanistan will be a bit disappointed , if you are only 1 down going into the last 10 you really should be getting 100 + runs in the final 10 , should have got something near 350 ..They messed it up a bit .
