Moooo
200 is up
This. Only way Rizwan brings utility to ODI side is if he opens the innings. Fakhar-Rizwan is a good L-R combo. Not a fan of Rizwan not opening the batting, if Pakistan are serious about winning this world cup he must open batting or they will end up with regrets.
Bhai they are 48/7 , and going at 3 an over ..Its going to take something special to win this for AfghanistanAfg is just 2 good partnerships away from winning this.
That's the problem with defending low-ish totals, even if you have Wasim, Garner, McGrath, Saqlain & Warne, that you are never confident of restricting any decent opposition.
why is Imam so badly rated by your guys especially when he was the only guy to score well todayThis. Only way Rizwan brings utility to ODI side is if he opens the innings. Fakhar-Rizwan is a good L-R combo.
It will also open up a slot in MO for Saud @ 4.
Iftikhar should be our #5 (as he avg 50 in List A), not #6.
Mass brain damage inflicted by the intent meme. Run scoring was really hard on this pitch and having somebody capable of building an innings properly was crucial. You end up 55-8 without somebody like that. Fakhar Zaman will get you a run a ball 150 on a road against Bumrah when he's on but he's just as likely to get out looking like Jimmy Neesham fending outside off.why is Imam so badly rated by your guys especially when he was the only guy to score well today

This is not true.Mass brain damage inflicted by the intent meme.
lol what is this vibes based selection policy he averages over 50 with multiple good performances against big teamsThis is not true.
Imam never oozes confidence. Rizwan doesn't know how to bat in MO in 50-over cricket & he is the only established wk in PCT. Only way we can get most out of him is if he opens the innings. That leaves Imam out & Saud in.
Before he got picked he was smashing tons left, right and center in domestic List A and 50 over A team matches for like 2 years. He's a terrific runner between the wickets, dominates spin and picks gaps against pacers very well. There's no reason why he won't be a quality middle order batsman in ODIs. It's not his fault Pakistan play very few ODIs. Even today he looked like the most fluent batsman before he copped a very good ball and a very harsh umpire's call. Plus he's very mentally tough too.Rizwan doesn't know how to bat in MO in 50-over cricket.
