I think the difference is that Southgate had said something to this effect not so long ago. As for alternatives, Marc Guehi seems to be highly rated and played once or twice for the national side at the end of last season.

Ben White has been a consistent performer for both arsenal and Brighton for the last 3 years playing both cb and rb. Not sure what really happened at the wc but is a decent alternative.

I don't think White plays enough at centre back now to be considered a real option for that position. A shame for him because England are spoilt for right back options.

I think Robinho is the rich man's Robinho tbh.

He undoubtedly didn't live up to his enormous hype, but there seems to be a revisionist narrative that Robinho was crap going about these days, when he absolutely wasn't.

That said, he's an absolutely dire person, so yeah.

Well they’re back together and she’s pregnant with his child, so it would be a bit awkward if she hadn’t.
