How was that not a pen? Disgraceful call.

Wolves absolutely robbed , this United side on that performance will struggle to make the top 6.

Anthony ,,Work rate@!! is not up to it IMO.
haha relax man, Utd weren’t great and still got the points. 3 points and **** off to next week

I thought it was a battering, just rescued by Wolves’ poor finishing. Winning like that is fine in May but on opening day it’s a bad sign.

The Onana ‘challenge’ is a blatant foul that almost never gets given. With VAR they suddenly have to justify nonsensical unwritten rules like ‘keepers are allowed to absolutely wipe people out’.

Yeah was pretty much the same with the Spurs keeper in the Brentford game the other day, but nobody made much of a fuss about that one for some reason. Probably because of the other stupid unwritten rule that states if an attacker kicks the ball out of play it doesn't matter if the keeper absolutely smashes him.

The Fulham keeper got away with just dropping the ball at the weekend and the ref blew before Keane scored. Farce as always this VAR

I'm amazed that once it went to VAR it wasn't given. He's late and smashes the bloke in the face, the fact he wears fancy gloves and a different colour of jersey to the rest of his team-mates shouldn't in any way be a mitigating factor.

Yeah I agree. It's a massive flaw in the application of the rules. I've been complaining about it for years.

NGL though I'd have been annoyed if last night was the game where they suddenly decided to fix it.

It's one of those ones where if it was the Wolves keeper who clobbered a Man Utd player it probably would have been given imo (VAR dubiousness notwithstanding).

Absolutely right that this thing is basically never given, but the one time I can actually remember it happening was when Almunia stupidly smashed into Rooney at Old Trafford after the ball had just been thumped out of play.

Jeez he must've been knocked back by every big club. That one surprises me.
He's clearly not a serious professional given he opted to slum it in France instead of playing in a proper league, and has a dreadful injury record which I suspect is partly caused by his lifestyle. I wouldn't touch him.

Maguire's not going to West Ham after all. I know the £7m joining fee's not to be sniffed at, but I don't know who else will cough up the the required amounts and he may well have talked himself out of England's squad for the euros.

Sounds like he wants to stay and fight for his place at Utd, so he's probably not too worried about anyone else coming in for him.

I think Robinho is the rich man's Robinho tbh.

He undoubtedly didn't live up to his enormous hype, but there seems to be a revisionist narrative that Robinho was crap going about these days, when he absolutely wasn't.

That said, he's an absolutely dire person, so yeah.

Didn't seem to stop him playing all last year. Who else do we have who could really take his place? I guess Colwill may come through, but he's still only 20.
