"The Sheffield Shield will kick off in the opening week of October, with the final to be played from March 21. The MCG will host just two games, as will the Gabba in Brisbane, while three matches will be played at both the SCG and the Adelaide Oval. All of Western Australia’s home games will be at the WACA"

Should make the gap between Shield and Tests even greater? Imagine someone from WA making their test debut in Perth on their "home ground" and they've never played on it

CDU Men’s Top End T20 Series 2023


x teams will take part in CDU Men’s Top End T20 Series 2023 with each team part of the round robin format in the group stage.

The names of the participating teams are ACT Comets, Melbourne Renegades Academy, Melbourne Stars Academy, NT Strike, Pakistan A and Papua New Guinea.

The top two teams at the end of the group stage will square off against each other in the Final for the CDU Men’s Top End T20 Series 2023 trophy.

16 matches of the tournament will be played across three venues - Marrara Cricket Ground, Gardens Oval and TIO Stadium.

Live cricket in the CDU Men’s Top End T20 Series 2023 is already underway, with the Final set to be played on 6th August at the Marrara Cricket Ground, Darwin.

If it's a real A team I'd have Inglis, Green, Murphy, Harris and Renshaw in there

No Marnus in the 18 is a bit surprising but it's a good call IMO. I'd cut Hardie, Abbott and Sangha from that.

But I'm really not convinced that Cummins is in the best XI, I'd rather see Ellis tbh. They might play Stoinis too but that would be a mistake.

There are so many bowling options in there that Aus could potentially do what they did in the Top-End ODIs v NZ and play an extra batsman with Green or Maxwell at 8, but making up 20 overs from the likes of Marsh/Green/Maxwell/Head might be a bit much

Australian XI is the best ODI XI in the world atm, particularly in Indian conditions. IMHO Australia are bigger favourites to win the WC than even the hosts even though experts will blindly keep saying it's India. Aus have so much depth in batting + many destructive batters + vast bowling options. It doesn't get better than that. There's a reason that they tend to win bilateral One day series in India.
