If Sobers is the best spin allrounder, then Sachin is the second best, Viv the third best and so on.
Did you accidentally or deliberately leave Shakib out of this list?Probably Sobers, but ignoring him Faulkner closely followed by Jadeja, Noble, Ashwin, Woolley, and Benaud.
Deliberately but maybe unfairly. Would be the next name.Did you accidentally or deliberately leave Shakib out of this list?
Well rounded for sureSamit Patel
How much of that is due to his batting? Average of 24 is perhaps low for all rounder.According to ICC Richie Benaud had the best peak by a pure spin allrounder
I mean this is a disservice to Imran lol. And you can't really say he's as good or better than some of the spin ARs here as a spinner. It comes down to definitions. Sobers is easily the best allrounder who bowled spin, but he is also the best allrounder who bowled seam (and the best allrounder full stop).
The question is who is the best allrounder who (almost) only bowled spin?
Is he though?I think Benaud doesn't necessarily fall in all rounder category. Ashwin also sort of debatable.
The true all rounders would be Faulkner, Jadeja, Shakib and Vettori.
Then Sobers and Kallis aren't all rounders either.I think Benaud doesn't necessarily fall in all rounder category. Ashwin also sort of debatable.
The true all rounders would be Faulkner, Jadeja, Shakib and Vettori.
6 hundreds and 4500 runs. Average also is hitting 30 mark.Is he though?
200+ test wickets. Bowl avg 32-33. Some specialist pacers have full fledged career with average of 32-33.Then Sobers and Kallis aren't all rounders either.
Richie Benaud is definitely an allrounder200+ test wickets. Bowl avg 32-33. Some specialist pacers have full fledged career with average of 32-33.
Benaud has batting avg of 24. No specialist batsman has a full fledged career with average below 30.
There's no way I'm saying he's a better bowler than Imran, or a better spinner than than many of those mentioned. I'm just saying he's the GOAT allrounder.I mean this is a disservice to Imran lol. And you can't really say he's as good or better than some of the spin ARs here as a spinner.
Yeah Richie B was an allrounder.200+ test wickets. Bowl avg 32-33. Some specialist pacers have full fledged career with average of 32-33.
Benaud has batting avg of 24. No specialist batsman has a full fledged career with average below 30.
Hadlee is also a bowling all rounder. Benaud is a no.8, not a genuine all rounder by any stretch. It's like calling Wasim as all rounder.Richie Benaud is definitely an allrounder
How do you not know about the different "bowling allrounder" and "batting allrounder" classifications?
Using your logic Richard Hadlee was not an allrounder lol
