Debuted 2000 onwards national XIs

The ATG thread is still going strong, but most of the players selected are ones who played far too early for most of us to see.

I thought it would be interesting to pick teams of players who debuted in a year starting with a 2 (eliminating all those ATGs who started in the 90s and earlier).

Of course the Bangladesh, Ireland, and Afghanistan test teams will be the same as their ATG teams.

Can't crack the current side. Fell off a cliff. Abbas too. Both were good but only for a short while. I do strongly hope at least one of the two comes back strongly.

Even though Sarfraz is one of the best players of spin I've seen, Rizwan is better against pace and a much better keeper.

I agree. I expect Rizwan to replace him soon. Sarfraz is the first Pakistani keeper to get 3k runs so I put him in out of respect. Rizwan is better on skill and should have a better career.

Yeah Gayle is a decent option , I imagine he would take his bowling more seriously if he was the main spinner , in his youth he was practically a batting all rounder ..I would select Jerome Taylor

Feels weird not seeing Rahane in there , he was in the middle order for so long ..but Pant definitely has a higher ceiling
