*Official* India in West indies 2023

White Ball

State 12th Man
Great win for the West Indies, they should be targeting a series win here.

Having not qualified for many ICC events recently they have a chance to do something at the WT20 next year which they co host, this is a start but it’s nothing more than that.

A pleasant surprise today. What an excellent performance in the field and excellent captaincy from Rovman.

We still looked awful against the wrist spin but Pooran got us through the spell at least so that Rovman could hit and get us to a defendable total.

I agree we should be aiming to win this series to continue the momentum from beating South Africa away.

Not sure we have the requisite consistency to win against India over 5 games but I hope I'm wrong.

Couldnt agree more!!
PS my mum is from Guyana so I always have had a soft spot for West Indies Cricket!

I am doing well my friend how are you? Great win today!! Thought the Windies did well under pressure the last over from Romario showed a lot of character
Yes, I’m doing well over here about to head into my garden to look after my eggplants.

Yes, when Tilak was going berserk, I felt the plot was lost a bit, the run out by Mayers was pivotal. Our bowlers stuck to their guns which was great to see. Jason Holder I didn’t expect to bowl like this(perfect turning over a leaf from Logan’s after Logan’s onslaught.)

Romario with an excellent last over. He needs to York on death bowling even more.

Last 5 T20i played at Guyana, 2:games were washed out Other 3 games, side bats 1st scored 146/153 & 163 while side chasing won twice

Stats:

With a minimum of 40 wickets taken by Full Member bowlers in T20Is, only four have an average less than 15, and an economy rate under seven. Kuldeep is one of them.

Kyle Mayers averages only 20.81 as opener in T20Is. That is the second-lowest for any West Indies batter to have opened at least 20 times in the format.

West Indies and India had played a T20I at Providence in 2019 too. But no member from the visitors' playing XI from that game is part of the squad for the ongoing T20I series.

- Nicholas Pooran registered scores of 73 (ODI) and 74* (T20I) in the last two games West Indies played at this venue

- Mukesh Kumar became only the second Indian player after T Natarajan to make his debut across formats on the same tour
