Root has been a better bowler for years. Moeen's selection is insanityDon’t even know why they’re bothering bowling him. Root was clearly a better bowler even when Moeen wasn’t bowling on one leg.
Probably. Also Glenn McGrath at 37 was man of the tournament in a World CupHadlee
No need to get personal mateMoeen could be very dangerous here. Will probably leak though.
Interferes with his fishingIs it not on the tele
I thought we don't talk about LOs hereProbably. Also Glenn McGrath at 37 was man of the tournament in a World Cup
I'm sure there are many others pre-1990s that as you know, I will not be aware of
It’s different having a golden arm as a part timer to having to bowl 20-25 overs to bowl your team to a win though.Root has been a better bowler for years. Moeen's selection is insanity
Walsh disagreesHadlee
Pacers didn't last that long before the modern era I think. Lillee and Trueman who both held the record for most wickets retired in their mid 30s. None of the west Indian quicks played that long either. Just Hadlee and Imran and Imran was more of a batsman by the end. Also Kapil but he sucked.Probably. It was just an example. McGrath post-35 was still better than Anderson ever wasI thought we don't talk about LOs here
Moeen wouldn't be better at eitherIt’s different having a golden arm as a part timer to having to bowl 20-25 overs to bowl your team to a win though.
Kapil’s last test was when he was 35 he doesn’t belong in this convoPacers didn't last that long before the modern era I think. Yeah, a lot of these guys wouldn't have even known they had stress fractures back in the day. There's even an interview with Geoff Lawson where he said he was diagnosed with a stress fracture and just ignored it.Pacers didn't last that long before the modern era I think. Walsh was serviceable but from what I saw of him I wouldn't say he was as good as Anderson at that ageWalsh disagrees
Seemed to go on forever. At least this was my impression based on the fact that he played until '94 and sucked after '89 as a bowler. Just didn't miss any tests I guess.Kapil’s last test was when he was 35 he doesn’t belong in this convo
Nah Walsh took the most test wickets in 2000 which by the way he was 38.Walsh was serviceable but from what I saw of him I wouldn't say he was as good as Anderson at that age
