We’ll see what works just hope they don’t get rolled like in 2019 last test. Let’s see if they have the guts to drop green or haze for neser or Murphy next test
Think Murphy will definitely play. His omission was a big mistake which luckily didn’t cost them

Whatever it takes!!!
I think it’s two very good sides personally.
Tough to judge the quality of the sides based on this series, but I do think this has been one series where at least the first 3 tests were about who ****ed up lesser.

Made for great viewing but didn't think it was exactly top notch cricket going on there most times. Especially tactically.

I thought there is a week between the games but its starting Thursday. I'm genuinely worried for Cummins but cant drop the captain. Neser has to play and so should Murphy

Warner
Khawaja
Marnus
Smith
Head
Marsh
Carey
Neser
Starc
Cummins
Murphy

is the most reasonable side

Fair play to the England fans who are bothered about the Fifth test. This one should never have been held there due to it's poor record for weather in the past. Why weren't the likes of Trent Bridge ever considered. Failing that what was wrong with Cardiff/Southampton as well.

Having said that England have paid the heaviest price for not turning up until they were 2-0 down and that's easily the worst part to handle.

This is out the box, but couldn't they have rested Cummins for this test and get either Head/Carey to deputise and bring in Neser? His workload is just far too much

Also feel like Warner is going to get runs in this test, and you'll then here his selection being justified with such platitudes like "You can never write off a world-class batter like Davey"

I think they’ll drop Green or rest one of Haze or Starc. Probably Starc, as good as he’s been all series he picked up a couple of knocks here and probably needs a spell.

If everyone is fit and it was up to me i would rest Cummins but obviously that won’t happen. That being so, I could see Green being dropped for Murphy and Neser in for whichever quick misses

A compelling series between two very well matched sides (at least in this country). What’s made it captivating for me is the continual shift in momentum during each day, barring this last Test at OT.

I don’t think there’s been much between the sides at all which is why I feel even more disappointed the rain has ruined this Test and the last one so we could see if we could reach a definitive and deserving winner of the series.

However, when you go 2-0 up in England in a five-match series it’s always likely for rain to play some defining part in the remaining three Tests.
