Wasn't watching the first part of the innings but is there an obvious reason Cross was bowled out so early, as the senior pace bowler?

Stupidity from Knight for most part.
She did end up with some cramp, but it was during fielding and after she had bowled her 10.
Probably they trust Bell too much.
Position swap with Wyatt?

Maybe. I wouldn’t mind giving Capsey a run there as well. That elevates Knight to 3 and NSB gets to come in earlier (as she should).

I also feel Wyatt is a bit of an all or nothing kind of player. She either gets out cheap and early or makes a big score/telling contribution. So it’s a risk with her - you could go one down real early more often than not, but every now and then she’ll turn up and smash someone. Depends on whether England want to take that risk or not and I think they probably prefer stability at the moment.

She was pretty good at it and somehow started getting out leg before to deliveries coming in and hitting her on the pads. It looks like it was some technical issue that she’s now surpassed so maybe she gets in the team again.

She’s out of form right now, but the talent is there so I don’t think anything needs to be made of the selection. She played some good knocks when she first came into the side IIRC. Send her down the order first before dropping her completely IMO.

Umpire gave a wide earlier when she'd hit it for four.
Beaumont said she hit it and the umpire changed his decision and signalled just a four.
But then they changed it to leg byes well after the delivery(or sky missed umpire signalling leg byes rather than off bat)
All around very weird.
