Prior to the rain, the Worcestershire attack did not do much with the ball after inserting despite what one would think were favourable pitch and overhead conditions.

Playing with something masquerading as a cricket ball from Australia.

True, though other games in this and the last round saw some lower scores.
Can only comment on Durham games but been very easy scoring in our first game and so far for Gloucs today

We took our first 3 wickets today from some pretty poor batting by Gloucs, although Potts got Dent for 85 after a peach.

I've lost count of all the loan signings just at Durham let alone all the other counties.

As I may have said before on this board, I really dislike the loan system as it cuts against cricket as a team or squad game and dilutes the sense of a club. I would rather it was only used on extreme occasions such as every wicketkeeper on the staff being injured. Otherwise counties should rely on their internal resources and promote a player from the second team.

I would put a limit on the number of loan players a county can sign. Maybe also make the loan period a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks. That would hopefully put an end to these "quick fixes" and encourage counties to pick from their own squads such as reserves or youth teams.

totally agree - absolutely ridiculous that the "big" counties use it

agree but not sure what the limit should be, because the concept should be around emergency. But yes to 4-6 weeks.
