Think England takes this tournament. Like the way they play the short forms. They load up their batting, have strong openers looking to score. Skillfull bowlers upfront and at the death. Plus handy spinners

You could be right but I’m wondering if the match winner stokes will reverse his retirement

though the way he’s looking I can’t see it as by the end of the tests , his body will be gone

few of Englands stars are pushing mid 30 now so it will be interesting see the younger section take on the bowlers in India

there are one or two in the T20 games tonight showing great promise but if they can get in the squad is another matter

oh yeah I forgot he retired from one dayers. England just have so many replacements they can have and heaps of people coming up in the short forms. Then you got guys like Butler in form. Just need to have everyone fit and ready before the tournament like wood, woakes, Jordan, mooen etc.

you never know with those knockout games but, one bad period in it one bad 30 minutes and the game can be done

No chance for Jofra as well

Buttler has a game on his hands tonight in the t20 quarter finals

surrey are 144 for 3 off 15.2

Jofra I don’t know if he’ll ever be pack properly. You guys were lucky to sneak him into The last World cup in 2019. He was probably Englands best player that tournament.

Also I don’t think India are favourites just because of the way their top 3 likes to bat. They usually want to build up their innings slower and then go big near the end. A few early wickets and they’re in trouble it’s what happened in the t20 World Cup against England

There are a few lads like livingstone , Smeed who could make names for themselves if given an opportunity

be interesting also if root is involved and of course bairstow , who looks unfit and right out of form

I’m expecting England at best to reach a semi final but they could easily go out early as well

there is plenty out there you got guys like Brook, Livingstone. I’d have bairstow in for sure his not unfit like people say he still runs hard behind the wickets and is a very good outfielder. Root I probably wouldn’t have him in there like they didn’t in t20 World Cup. I think Odis are just like t20s these days it’s all about keep the rate up most the time
