He only got 16 ODI matches , in that he managed to average 36 at a SR of 95, in this current side only Shai Hope and Pooran can say they have better records , others got way more chances .

For comparison purposes, Rovman Powell has played 50 ODIs and his average is sub-20

Yeah then he should have got more chances. I just looked at his test record where he batted just 12 innings. Maybe he isnt from Barbados .

I think that was always the plan, they just hoped it would be after securing qualification, not after being eliminated.
I guess this means Brandon King isn't in the test squad as he is remaining in Zimbabwe.
