There are many talented female cricketers who have played in various women's cricket leagues around the world. Some of the most prominent names in women's cricket include:

  1. Ellyse Perry (Australia)
  2. Meg Lanning (Australia)
  3. Suzie Bates (New Zealand)
  4. Stafanie Taylor (West Indies)
  5. Smriti Mandhana (India)
  6. Alyssa Healy (Australia)
  7. Sophie Devine (New Zealand)
  8. Heather Knight (England)
  9. Harmanpreet Kaur (India)
  10. Chamari Atapattu (Sri Lanka)
These players have consistently performed at the highest level and have made significant contributions to their respective teams.
We can agree that she contributes more to her team than the others in this list.

The closest is probably Hayley Matthews.

I just tuned in to watch the 1st T20I between our girls versus the Irish.

Hayley just struck to get the first wicket after an attacking start from their openers. Gabby Lewis is a formidable batter.

Captain Matthews picked up 3 wickets....a very good spell from Munisar on her debut.

Restricts Ireland to 112 in their 20 overs.

Stafanie Taylor is playing in this game but she's not 100%. She's been off the field for most of this innings.

Looks like a bit of a shaky chase by WI.

Pleased to see Arlene Kelly pick up three wickets - she plays for Auckland.

And the 'hope to get Chamari early' strategy seems to be paying off again today too. Excellent figures for Tahuhu (4-21 from four), Carson (1-15 from four) and Jonas (0-19 from four).

Bates leading the chase at this stage, with Bezuidenhout recently dismissed after a slightly more promising 24.

Bernie was better here, & it's good to at least see her get full backing, but I'm still thinking in my head "Where's Natalie Dodd when you need her?"

Izzy Gaze has come into the XI for today's game and will open with Bates - will be interesting to see how she goes. She could even make a case to be our first-choice WK if she makes a score here.

And we're batting first, so we need to look out for another monster Chamari innings in the SL chase.
